My Journey:
Bridging the Gap Between Engineering and Web Development
As an Electronics and Communication Engineering student, my academic journey has always revolved around circuits, signals, and problem-solving. However, my curiosity and passion for technology led me to explore something beyond my core field—web development. What started as a hobby soon became an exciting journey, pushing me to blend my technical knowledge with creative problem-solving in the digital world.
During my studies, I was fascinated by how websites function, how user experience impacts engagement, and how businesses optimize their digital presence. This curiosity motivated me to learn HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SEO, allowing me to build functional and optimized websites. I realized that the logical thinking and problem-solving skills from my engineering background were incredibly useful in web development.
To gain practical exposure, I joined My Invented as an intern. This internship has been a game-changer, helping me transition from a beginner web developer to someone who understands the core principles of SEO and website performance.
Here’s what I’ve been learning:
- Customizing themes, working with Elementor, and managing plugins like Yoast SEO, WP Forms, and LiteSpeed Cache.
- Learning how keywords, site speed, and content structuring improve rankings.
- Implementing techniques to enhance website speed, and improve user experience.
At first glance, engineering and web development may seem like completely different domains. But in reality, they share common principles like system optimization, logical structuring, and problem-solving. My engineering background has given me an analytical mindset, which helps in debugging code, optimizing website speed, and ensuring seamless user experiences.
